Skyler - ADOPTED

Skyler is a sweet puppy with stunning light blue eyes and a heart full of love.

His story began in tough circumstances — he and his siblings were abandoned on a porch in a plastic tub. In a small Texas town, word travels fast, and we soon learned these puppies were born to a gentle mixed breed mama who was left to roam the streets by her irresponsible owner. She had her puppies under a stack of roofing tin out in the woods. When their mama disappeared, the litter was rescued and left on a doorstep. It didn’t take long — just two days in the foster home — for Skyler and his siblings to greet their foster family with wagging tails and happy barks.

Skyler started out a little shy, often hanging back and observing. But he has truly blossomed! Now, he’s the first to run up to greet you and once you scoop him up and cradle him like a baby, he melts into your arms and often drifts right off to sleep while you rub his belly. He’s playful and full of puppy energy — always ready for a game of tug-of-war or chasing after the little tennis ball (and occasionally stealing it from his siblings!). His playful side is balanced by his sweet, gentle nature. Skyler is a smart, loving pup who would thrive in a family with children or with another dog as a playmate.

Skyler is ready to find his forever home, where he can be loved, cherished, and continue to grow into the amazing dog he’s already showing himself to be. As Skyler is young, he will need his adopter to have him neutered at six months of age and also attend in-person positive based puppy classes.
