Sawyer - ADOPTED

Sawyer is a sweetheart with soft dark brown eyes, beautiful reddish and white coloring, and the most charming long white "socks" on his front legs. His story began in difficult circumstances — he and his siblings were abandoned on a porch in a plastic tub. In a small town in Texas, word travels fast, and we soon learned these puppies were born to a gentle mixed breed mama who was left to wander by her irresponsible owner. She had her puppies tucked away under a stack of roofing tin out in the woods. When their mama disappeared, the litter was rescued and left on a doorstep. Within just two days in his foster home, Sawyer and his siblings began greeting his foster family with wagging tails and cheerful barks. From the very beginning, Sawyer has been the social butterfly of the group. He’s always the first to run over for attention, ready to be scooped up and snuggled. He absolutely loves to be held like a baby — and will happily fall asleep that way in your arms. Watching him play and then drift off into a peaceful puppy nap is pure joy. He’s playful and energetic, always up for a good game of tug-of-war or chasing after his favorite little tennis ball (and yes, he’s been known to steal it from his siblings!). His playful spirit is perfectly balanced by a sweet, gentle nature that just melts hearts. Sawyer is a smart, loving pup who would do well in a home with children or other pets. Sawyer is ready to find his forever home, where he’ll be loved and cherished. As he is still young, his adopter will need to have him neutered at six months of age and also attend an in-person positive based puppy class.
