Gertie- ADOPTED

Gertie is looking for her forever home! Gertie is a yorkie mix who is seven years young. Gertie found herself at the Harris County Shelter in Houston after her owners dropped her off in horrible condition. She was emaciated, suffering from sarcoptic mange, was not spayed, had horrible mammary tumors and tested positively for heartworms. Thankfully a Lola's Lucky Day volunteer spotted her and knew that she needed to have her own lucky day! Gertie has made an amazing transformation! She has been spayed, the tumors have been removed and miraculously were not cancerous, her skin has been treated, and she is up to date on all vaccinations. Gertie has been fostered with dogs of all shapes and sizes. We have not had the opportunity to see her around cats or children. She is hoping to travel to Wisconsin next weekend.
