Meekiss

Meekiss would love to come to Wisconsin in mid-November. He was surrendered to a Houston shelter by his owner who was unable to care for him. When he arrived at the shelter he was a matted mess! His skin was inflamed and his mouth was a mess. He was unhappy and miserable. Meekiss has been a doll since he arrived in his foster home. He fit in with the household immediately and didn't look back! Meekiss is fostered with lots of other dogs and he does well with all of them. We haven't seen him around cats or children in his foster home. It did take him a few days to warm up to his foster dad, so we assume that his owner was female. It appears that he was housetrained when he arrived and he also mastered the dog door quickly! He is great in his kennel! We think that his is a Lhasa Apso mix. He also has a bit of curl to his coat! Whatever makes up his family tree...he is adorable! He is about 5 1/2 years old and weighs 15 lbs. He has been getting medicated baths and his skin looks much better! We are unsure about the origin of his name...but since he was surrendered by his owner...we assumed it was a name he knew and we kept it. He answers to it and wags his tail when he hears his name.
