Jelly Bean's Story...
In Texas, Jelly Bean had been wandering around a church for days. Normally dogs show up and disappear in the area, but she stuck around seeming very scared, anxious, and just sad. It was very hard to watch- it's as if she was waiting….unfortunately the person she was waiting for never came back for her. A church member took her home and contacted the rescue. Over a few days she really blossomed into a sweet girl, and started to trust and come out of her shell. The vet thinks she has had 2 litter at LEAST before being dumped. She is approximately two years old and weighs 45 pounds.

Jelly Bean loves to play with toys. She knows how to fetch and bring toys back, as well as sits very pretty. Currently she is working on learning how to walk well at heel and practicing down/stay. She will need to learn that she is safe, and doesn't need to run. She has been around toddlers and older family members as well. Jelly Bean really needs a home with a family where she can learn to trust and someone can show her that not everyone will abandon her. A family with children who love to play will be great to further engage in her playfulness and desire to be loved. She absolutely loves to play fetch and will retrieve toys, bringing them back to whoever she thinks will throw them again. Tug of war has become a new favorite, and she is catching onto the command "release". She does well with small dogs and when introduced well and given time, she wants to play with big dogs as well. Please consider giving this sweetheart a chance at experiencing her own family and a chance to live her life without having to remember being left in the cold. Jelly Bean will be arriving in Wisconsin on January 19th.
