Meet Emery! - ADOPTED
Emery is a young chihuahua/dachshund mix who is approximately two years old, neutered, up to date on all of his vaccinations, and microchipped. Emery was one of over 70 dogs turned into a Houston high-kill shelter by a hoarder/backyard breeder. When rescuers first saw him, he was huddled in a corner, shaking and afraid, not knowing where he was or what was going to happen to him. Once he was taken out of that very stressful and scary environment, Emery’s gentle and affectionate nature peeked through. He has never snapped, bitten or shown any aggression. Emery is still quite shy, so he’ll need someone who is patient and who will consistently show him he is now safe, cared for, and that no one will ever hurt or neglect him again. Emery only weighs about 15lbs.
