Winifred - ADOPTED

What happens when you’re not a puppy? You’re no longer the miniature version of yourself. Your eyes are a little cloudier and there’s a little less spring to your step.
And what happens when you’re not a puppy? Sometimes you’re overlooked. Some may want the “blank slate” that they assume only a puppy can be. They want the newness and to train from scratch. They want less gray and more play.
But what happens when you’re not a puppy? Your personality is known! You know where to potty and you’re confident in your lifestyle. You don’t have those pesky baby teeth that make you want to chew or the lack of manners that make you jump. You still bring a newness to your adoptive home, but also the wisdom from your past to help you adjust.
So what happens when you’re not a puppy? You find someone who is looking for a companion who has seen things and knows things. You find someone who celebrates your age and all the wonderful things that come along with it.
Now dear Winifred, don’t worry that you are not a puppy. Because what you are not, is exactly what someone is looking for.
