Tribute to Alex Kultgen

On October 5th, the world lost an incredible person. Alex Kultgen was not only an amazing foster and volunteer for our organization, he was a friend to all. He’d bring donuts and beer to events, but it was his smile and laugh that filled us up with true joy. He fostered the dogs who needed a little extra time, and did so with enthusiasm. You’d be hard pressed to find a more adorable sight than this big guy sitting in a puppy pen with tiny chihuahuas.

A true testament to his character and how much he was adored, donations by the dozens have been made in his loving memory. We decided there was no better way to honor him than to save lives in his name. These donations have made it possible to send our van on a round-trip journey to Houston to bring back 37 beautiful dogs. Many of these dogs will go home to their forever families on the day they arrive and others will be loved in foster while they await their perfect match. Our list of travelers was finalized last night and we wanted to share this picture so that our followers can see how many lives Alex will save.

We were honored to know Alex. And we are honored to continue our rescue work because of him.  https://www.eernissefuneralhome.com/obituaries/Alexander-M-Kultgen?obId=18558032&fbclid=IwAR3NnI-8G_VlD_XFXqStpXfAfmVqn59Az9xjjDv-x8oyThiNHw1TwuP-VVI
