Mama Miley - ADOPTED

The volunteers of Paddy's Paws are about to experience a first! We welcomed a beautiful golden retriever named Miley into rescue on Valentine's Day. She was surrendered to Paddy’s Paws from a family that couldn’t afford the regular upkeep of a growing dog or her vet care. Miley turns one this Saturday and yesterday we confirmed at the vet that she is carrying eight puppies. We expect delivery to be anytime within the next two weeks. We have learned that the puppies will be golden retriever/boxer mixes. This is a new journey for us as usually the pregnant moms are saved down in Houston with our rescue partners and then when healthy, mom and pups travel to Wisconsin. Paddy's Paws will be taking on all expenses for the medical needs and supplies for mom and her puppies. When it is safe, we will also be spaying mom so that no more accidental litters happen. In the meantime, we are hoping you can join us in this journey. Please note that at this time we are not accepting applications or granting any adoption holds on mom or the puppies until they are closer to eight weeks old. We will post when they are available for adoption. Please no negative comments as we are thankful the family chose to surrender her to us versus other options. Any negative comments will be removed.
